Original movie, superb actress
There was only one review when I got here and it was a one star. However I saw the star was Anamaria Marinca. I saw her do an excellent job in the European movie Storm as a victim of the war in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. So I figured it would be worthwhile just to see her again. It was.
This is an indie picture and the approach is experimental. Marinica is in a war zone but there are only small groups of fighters involved and there are not many sounds of war. Though the movie was shot in Serbia there is no reference to any particular war or location. I believe the intent is to show the emotional experiences of this woman as universal to civilian women in a war zone. We need to get in her head to some degree. I admit I've never been good at getting into a woman's head even when I'm furnished with a lot more dialogue than is contained in this entire movie - which is not much.

Awfully disappointing
This is up there with the worst movies I have ever seen. There was maybe 25 lines in the whole movie. I watched the whole thing and am still wondering what the heck this movie was about. Not worth a 20 cent rental.
