3 1/2 stars - A good asian horror tale
This obscure asian thriller is well directed and features a complexly presented, convoluted narrative(as is common in many of these films). There's moments of 'what's real? what's not?'. The movie comes into a powerful conclusion, drawing it's strings together as a chilling morality tale. A good, solid film, by no means extraordinary and timeless but good nonetheless and quality entertainment when you're looking for something to rent.
it was ok
it was ok it was creepi and i like the atmospheric thing but i was confussed about some parts and the ending was crazi cool
Entertaining at the end
Vanished: Girl in the Woods is a movie about a seven year old girl disappearing after going into the woods to play with some friends. There is much about this movie that doesn't make sense until the end. It is told in a rather discombobulated fashion. Going from Sakura's disappearance, to another girl in church. Another girl getting kidnapped. Then suddenly onto a movie set. I found this hard to follow since there didn't really seem to be any connection between these different stories. That is until the end when the movie finally comes together and we find out what really happened that day in the woods.
Since the storyline was so disconnected I never really got into the movie. Aside from that it is a decent movie though. The plot is well thought out, just takes a while to make sense. The actors were good. And the story does have a cool little twist at the end. Overall it was an entertaining film.
